Mahopac Golf Club (MGC), situated on 166 acres of rolling hillside in southern Putnam County is a private golf club rich in history and long standing tradition. Senior tour pro Mike Fetchick was a club champion in the 40's, and Larry Laoretti, '92 U.S. Senior Open Champion, learned the game as a caddie in the 50's. MGC was officially organized on July 29, 1898.

Located on the north shore of Lake Mahopac, the golf course was recently renovated by noted architect Ken Dye and features well bunkered greens.

The objective of the club is the playing,  advancement and cultivation of the ancient and royal game of golf.
